MAP OF QATAR
Walking amidst Doha’s high-rises, it’s easy to forget that Qatar’s history dates back nearly 6,000 years. Qatar is a land of wonderful contrasts – an open, 21st-century society that is built on deep-rooted culture and history. Beautiful mosques. The tradition of poetry, stories and handicrafts. Dhows that hearken back to the days of the pearl fisherman. Falcons expertly handled by their masters. The legendary Arabian horses and the camel races. Souqs and markets where everything from the exotic to the everyday can be found.
